Founded in 1869, the American Museum of Natural History is the largest natural history museum in the world. The museum complex, located in New York City, contains 45 permanent exhibition halls, a planetarium, and a library. Its collections contain over 100 million specimens of plants, animals, fossils, minerals, rocks, meteorites, human remains, and human cultural artifacts, as well as specialized collections for frozen tissue and genomic and astrophysical data. There is a museum shop on the premises, as well as many opportunities for food and drink.

Pass is good for four general admission tickets. Pass may be picked up at the circulation desk on the reservation date. The pass is good for one week from reservation date. Unused passes and case must be returned. YOU MUST ALSO MAKE A TIMED RESERVATION ON THE MUSEUM WEBSITE.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located on the Hudson River in Manhattan, features the legendary aircraft carrier Intrepid, the space shuttle Enterprise, some of the world's fastest jets, and a guided missile submarine. The ship is now a National Historic Landmark, having served tours of duty in World War II and the Vietnam War, and acted as a recovery vessel for the Gemini and Mercury space missions. In addition to more than two dozen authentically restored aircraft, the museum includes the Exploreum Interactive Hall, an interactive exhibit space; an 18,000 sq. ft. education center; “Growler,” the only American diesel-powered strategic missile submarine open to the public; and Pier 86.

Pass and library card must be presented to enter the Museum. Pass may be returned at the desk or in the book drop in the rear of the building.

The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, the country's first flying museum of antique aircraft, was founded in 1958. The collection contains over 60 vintage aircraft from the U.S. and Europe, a number of antique automobiles and motorcycles, and related memorabilia in a classic small-town airport setting. The Museum is typically open from May through October, with two different airshows each Saturday and Sunday, mid-June through mid-October—please check their website to be certain of the schedule.

Founded in 1936 by Frank Trevor, Millbrook Schools first biology teacher, this institution is the only zoo in the country located at a high school. The 6-acre zoo is home to more than 180 exotic and indigenous animals, representing 70 different species—11 of which are endangered—and a veterinary clinic. A map listing animals and their locations is available on their website. At the time of this writing, reservations were required to visit.
